Friends love you no matter who you are or what you are…they let you be you…they are loyal… kind… giving…. caring…they don’t judge…they are always there for you when you need them to be…they let you be a fool when you want to be one…they pick you up when you are down…they always know when you need to be left alone…they know you
I have the kind you count on one hand…
There is of course…my family

She has been there for me forever…and¬† judged me never…since the day¬†I met her…she came into¬†Dillons… a steakhouse…where I worked … we fast became friends ….it was¬†her birthday…the 17th of October…many moons ago
Faye and I have had a bond that has grown stronger through time even though I moved away some¬†time ago…I have such wonderful memories of all the fabulous¬†people I met at that restaurant… the peanuts on the floor…. going dancing until the wee hours after work…what fun we all had….they closed down just this year after many seasons…those times will linger¬†…. in my mind… always
There is Dixie…who I had known in¬†high school¬†and no you don’t get to find out how long ago it was since I graduated¬†… Even though we lost touch for a while…. we have rekindled our friendship since we “found” each other again
Then there are the friends who surprise you when you least expect it…
Like Jen….of….¬† http://www.pearstreetstudios.com/…….¬†I went to my mail box today¬†… inside¬†I found a¬†package with a beautiful¬†gift¬†that she sent along with¬†a¬†very lovely note…..Even though we have never met….Jen… has “listened ” when I really needed an ear and is just a very sweet ….loving …..person¬†
Sometimes things get in the way of friendships…following the¬†road back¬†…is the important thing
I must not forget my blogging friends…they are too many to name here…these are people that often times we¬†have only met through the internet¬†…they however touch our hearts in ways we can’t explain…like all the lovelies that have placed a post on here ….nice
If you haven’t talked to a friend in a while… pick up the phone and give them a call.. drop them a note…or an email….let them know you are simply….. thinking…. of them
