Nothing like…
Sunday, September 30th, 2007Today was¬†spent taking pictures of some of my products… all was going well until…..yep …I did it….¬†I dropped my camera right on it’s little lens…sure did…I broke it¬†…..you guessed didn’t ya?¬† It keeps saying “lens error please restart” and I am thinking now how do you do that when it won’t retract?¬† jeepers already!
In case you didn’t know.. the process for getting just the right pictures is a bit time consuming… it involves stageing….¬†oftentimes props or backdrops are used…¬†¬†good lighting is a must…¬†then you have to shoot at ¬†just the right angle and definitely¬†take more¬†than just one picture to make sure you have enough¬†photos to choose from… each product you are¬†capturing can sometimes take hours by the time you¬†get everything set up¬†and while digital cameras make it a lot easier now¬†because you can see the picture first you still may have to reshoot if they don’t turn out right…¬†From there¬†it may need some editing, resizing, ¬†framing, or enhancement as you may not get a “true” color photo… then it has to be uploaded¬†in order to place it on your site…WOW!¬†¬† It also depends on “what” you are shooting… a pillow¬†will shoot ¬†differently than a piece of fine art or ceramics… so you now you know…product takes a while to get it right…
Anyhoo, that being said I am off to beg, borrow or whatever until I can purchase a new one…Til Later!
